We're going to impeach Trump . . . and make Mexico pay for it!

i have little doubt articles of impeachment will be drawn up on trump within the next year or so.

my only question at this point is what are they going to get him for?.

collusion with a foreign government to subvert an election?.

I am no fan of trump but some of your points are not causes for impeachment at all.

Your reasons

1. if new sexual assault charges come forward. President Trump can only be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanours that he commits while he is in office. He would have to commit sexual assault while he is in office for it to be an impeachable offence.

4. showing signs of mental illness is not a cause of impeachment. The constitution only prescribes for impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanours. The founders felt that if the people decide that a president isn't acting rationally then it is the duty of the voters to rectify that situation in the next election and for the people's representatives the Congress to provide checks on the Executive.

5. By absolute law, the President cannot violate the laws on releasing classified information. The President is in charge of classifying documents, he usually delegates that to departments, but it is his absolute right to classify or declassify information as he sees fit. If the President releases information he then declassifies it by the virtue of him releasing the information. It is sort of like an executive order, the Executive creates it so the Executive can break it which would, therefore, nullify the order.

Why did Jesus need to experience a human childhood?

i've never been a jw and haven't ever studied the bible or theology so it may be that there is a simple answer to my question that i'm not aware of, in which case, please forgive my ignorance.

however i have wondered about this for quite some time and have scoured the internet but i can't find any mention of the topic.

maybe someone here might enlighten me.

God made a covenant with David that his line would serve as king for eternity. Mary was from that line as well when Joseph became Jesus adopted father Jesus received the line through Joseph as well. And since Jesus was a product of both holy spirit and Mary he was human and that served as a balance for the human adam.

Governing Body-Part of Great Crowd

it appears that the governing body members today are part of the great crowd and are not of the anointed.. to those with some knowledge of the subject, is it possible that the christian congregation would eventually be lead by those who are not anointed?

Current doctorine is that all annointed would ascend to heaven prior to Armageddon so yes jws would be lead by the helpers who are generally of the earthly class.

An investigative reporter may go into a story with a thesis that they want to prove but it is a difference between trying to prove a thesis with objective information and becoming an advocate or an activist. That then is out of the realm of journalism at least in my view

So you feel that if Watchtower settles that they must mean that they know they won't lose. Then I have a question for you. In the Jose Lopez case in San Diego. When the trial judge granted the terminating sanctions, which were reversed, why was it that the plaintiff dismissed the charges against the Congregation? The terminating sanctions only applied to Watchtower and CCJW as defendants, not to the Congregation, they still had to go through a trial to go after the congregation.

Yes, how dare I bring out facts. Facts such as one case where a person confessed to a minister that he abused a child, and that the minister wanted to do the right thing and report it, but the appeals court found that the testimony of the minister and her reporting it was a reversible error by the trial court and remanded it back to the court for a whole new trial. Courts have found that even if the person is being punished by the religion the information is still privileged or that if a report is made to the national headquarters of a religion again still privileged or if there are more than one minister hearing the confession again still privileged. Even with witnesses, the MacFarland court ruled that letters from elders to the service department that was sole of a religious nature were privileged communication. So again it depends on how the statute is written.

The person speaking's intent is key. If someone dresses up like a catholic priest and takes confession and isn't a catholic priest, would the court allow him to give testimony because the person doing the communication thought that he was seeking spiritual help? So intent is very important when it comes to the privilege.

Anyone can sue anyone for anything. But they would have to climb over a mountain of precedents. Anything is possible but is it likely I really doubt it. In fact, I like it how one of the Justices in the Stratton case during the oral arguments made the statement that just because something is novel doesn't make it good. It may be a novel thing to get a judge to break with a century of jurisprudence but that doesn't mean it is good case law and would stand up in the higher courts.
